This is my first slow cooker and I just could not be happier! I have cooked everything from chile to chocolate cake and it all turns out perfect! Heating is even and the temperature stays consistent through 8+ hours of cooking. Glazed surface means easy clean up, but I still like to use the slow cooker liners (they are kind of like the oven bags for your Thanksgiving turkey). The 4-qt is a great size if you live alone (and don't mind left-overs) or to feed you and your room mate!
